One card each, aces high
Crown Clash is the quickest item in the pack. You get one card face up, the house gets one, and the higher rank takes the round; suits do not matter. If yours is higher you get your stake back plus the same again. If the house card is higher the stake is gone.
The shoe holds six standard decks, shuffled when fewer than twenty cards are left. The table shows how many cards remain so you can see the shuffle coming.
The clash
A tie happens about once in every thirteen or fourteen hands. You then choose. Fold and half the stake comes back. Clash and you put in the same stake again; three cards are burned and you each draw one more. If yours is equal or higher, the first stake comes back and the second pays even money. If the house is higher, both stakes are lost.
Clashing on every tie gives a slightly better long-run return than folding, but it also doubles what is at risk on that hand, so if you have set yourself a limit for the visit, a fold is a perfectly good choice. There is no strategy beyond that one decision.
How a round plays
- Choose a stake from 5 to 100 glints and press Deal.
- Higher rank takes the round. Aces are high; suits do not count.
- On a tie, choose Clash (stake the same again and draw) or Fold (half back).
- The result is settled at once and added to this visit's log.
Pay table

| Tie, clash, yours equal or higher | 3 × stake back on 2 × staked |
| Tie, clash, house higher | nothing back on 2 × staked |
Glints have no cash value. Returns are shown so you can see how the game works, not as anything you can take away.
