Questlowe privacy notice

We collect as little as we can. Games, settings and pauses stay in your browser; we only receive what you send us.

1. Who is responsible

Questlowe is responsible for the personal data described here (the data controller). Contact: privacy@questlowe.co.uk.

2. The short version

We do not run accounts, adverts, analytics or trackers, and we set no cookies. What you do in the games stays in your browser and is never sent to us. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send through the contact form or by email, plus the basic technical records any web server keeps.

3. Messages you send us

If you use the contact form we receive your name, your email address, your message and the time it was sent. We use them only to reply to you (lawful basis: legitimate interests in answering messages, and your request). We keep messages for up to 12 months after the conversation ends, then delete them.

4. Server records

Like every website, our hosting keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) to keep the site secure and working. They are not used to identify you or to change what you see, and they are deleted within 30 days. The contact form also keeps a one-way scrambled form of your IP address for an hour to limit spam; nobody can work the address back out of it.

5. What stays in your browser

The age answer, the storage choice, glints, quest log, settings and any running pause live in your browser's local or session storage. We never receive them. The full list is in the cookie and storage notice. You can delete them with Forget everything on Responsible Play or by clearing your browser data.

6. Sharing

Personal data is never sold, rented or passed on. Our hosting provider processes server records on our behalf under a written contract. Data is stored in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.

7. Your rights

UK data protection law gives you the right to a copy of any data we hold on you, and to have it corrected, erased or restricted, or to object to how we use it. Write to privacy@questlowe.co.uk. We reply within one month.

8. Complaints

Unhappy with how your data has been handled? Please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113.

9. Children

The site is for adults only and is not designed for or aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us a message, write to us and we will delete it.
