Responsible Play: keep the pack light

Questlowe is for adults and for entertainment only. Glints have no cash value, nothing can be bought and nothing can be won. Even so, games of chance can take more time and attention than you meant to give them. This page holds the tools to stop that, a short self-check and the UK services that help, all free.

Your tools

Settings follow your storage choice. Pauses are always kept in this browser, whatever you chose.

Reality check

A sheet appears at the interval you pick and shows your time here, rounds, glints staked and glints back. Choose Stop for now to close the games for ten minutes.

On by default at every 30 minutes.

Visit limits

When you reach either limit the six games close for the rest of the visit. You get a warning five rounds before a round limit.

Pause or cool off

Close the games on this device for 15 minutes, an hour, a day, three days, a week or thirty days. Anything from 60 minutes up runs its full length. The Pause button at the top of every page opens the same choice.

No pause is running.

Calm mode

Shortens animations and the waits between bonus drops and respins, so a round is over quickly and nothing on the board flashes for attention.

This check is a prompt to think, not a diagnosis. If anything here worries you, the services below are free and confidential.

Signs worth noticing

  • Playing to change how you feel rather than for fun.
  • Losing track of time, or playing late into the night when you meant to sleep.
  • Feeling a strong need to “get back” to where you were after a run of misses.
  • Moving on from games like these to real-money gambling, or spending more than you can afford there.
  • People close to you mentioning how much you play.

Blocking tools

  • GAMSTOP blocks you from every UK-licensed gambling website and app for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years, at no cost.
  • Gamban installs a block on gambling sites and apps on your phone, tablet or computer.
  • Most UK high-street banks offer a gambling block on debit cards. It usually sits in the card settings of the banking app.

Free, confidential help in the UK

Under 18, or worried about someone who is

Questlowe is for adults only and asks your age before the games open. If you are under 18 and something is worrying you, Childline is free and confidential on 0800 1111. Parents and carers will find practical guides to games, screen time and parental controls at Internet Matters.

Our promises

  • Nothing is for sale on Questlowe, now or later, and glints can never be bought.
  • No timed rewards, countdowns, streaks or messages asking you to come back.
  • No other players, real or invented, and no tables to climb.
  • No adverts, no trackers and no cookies. Every visitor sees the same site.
  • Every game page shows the full rules, the pay table and a plain record of your visit.

About the tools

Can I end a pause early?

A 15-minute pause can be lifted from the Pause sheet. Pauses of 60 minutes or more stay in place until they run out in that browser, by design: the decision you made earlier is the one that counts. Making a pause longer is always possible.

What counts as a visit?

A visit lasts until you close the tab. Visit limits and reality checks count from the moment the tab was opened. Closing the tab and coming back later starts a new visit.

Does Questlowe know who I am?

No. There are no accounts and nothing is sent to us. Your settings and your pauses stay in your browser. That also means a pause only applies in the browser where you set it; for gambling sites and apps, GAMSTOP and blocking software work across devices.

Is this site a gambling site?

No. There is no real money play, nothing to buy and no prizes of monetary value. We still treat the games as something that can take more time than intended, which is why the tools on this page exist.
